It’s 1986, and Kevin and James are just a couple of misfit middle school kids trying to make the shift from childhood into their teenage years. However, growing up in a small town like Maple City, Indiana can be tough and to their surprise, dangerous. They will learn that sometimes it’s better to let some childhood dreams stay just that.
How will they find their way to adulthood, when everything in their sleepy little town gets turned upside down by a horrific crime and how do they get involved? Things get hairy as the boys try to figure everything out, before it gets them killed.

Jared Prast grew up in northwest Indiana, before life eventually found him settling down with his family in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. When he isn’t writing, Jared is an avid sports fan of Chicago Cubs baseball, and Washington Capitals hockey. Locally, he enjoys taking his wife and 2 children to see the Asheville Tourists baseball team in North Carolina, and the Greenville Swamp Rabbits hockey team in South Carolina.
